L'Irlande accueillera en août 2016 le 18ème World Congress of Food Science and Technology dont le thème sera "Greening the Global Food Supply Chain - Through Innovation in Food Science and Technology". L'Institute of Food Science and Technology in Ireland est en charge de l'organiser et son président Declan Troy, aussi directeur associé de la recherche au Teagasc, sera le président du Congrès.
